It is raining this morning in Atlanta. Days like this are great for the horses, pastures, and a break for staff. We are going to catch up on our maintenance and repair work.
We have been blessed to have the support of a great group of new volunteers and riding donors. We have been enjoying the weather and the abundance of wildlife running and grazing in the woods.
We have added to our core group of volunteers in recent months. We have been meeting on Monday evening for riding and advanced lessons. All our volunteers are learning to crew in both the horse riding and driving areas. Everyone is being trained to take groups of guests out for a tour of our ranch. Our volunteers are focusing on putting some miles on some of our project horses. We are still seeking outside volunteers capable of working with project horses.
All of our volunteers also help in other ways. Their aditional efforts range from pony rides, internet content, fundraising, and cooking. We still have openings for other very specific skills. If you have an underutilized talent, you may find routine riding time in exchange for your specialized skill set.
We look forward to meeting new guests and volunteers soon!
